Exploration Licence Application 14 km west of Dorrigo

An exploration licence application for Group One-Metallic Minerals has been made for an area of 300 square kilometres,  14 kilometres north west of Dorrigo. This area is in the headwaters of the Clarence River in one of the highest rainfall areas in NSW.

It is rumoured that Scorpio Resources Pty Ltd is really Anchor Resources Pty Ltd, the owner of the Wild Cattle Creek Mine.

Scorpio Resources Ltd (a subsidiary company of Anchor Resources Pty Ltd) applied for an exploration licence on 7th December 2012 for a large area north west of Dorrigo  near Mt Hyland and Chaelundi areas (including areas of State Forest and State Conservation Areas). Inquiries about the nature of the ELA have been made, limited information is available at this application phase, however it a metallic application. The process for approval of the application can take between 3 to 12 months.
