CSG Protest at Doubtful Creek

Reblogged from SCG Free Northern Rivers

Doubtful Creek, Kyogle Action

MORE THAN forty anti-CSG activists have rallied at the entrance of Eden Creek State Forest, after work started this morning to complete a drilling pad for Metgasco’s coal seam gas production.

Metgasco has confirmed the works are being carried on their behalf.

The site is adjacent to the Booths Rd entrance to the State Forest at Doubtful Creek, 11 km from Kyogle.
Metgasco and contract workers have been unable to enter the site this afternoon due to the blockade by protestors.

Get down there tomorrow, 16th January, early!

Half way bewteen Kyogle and Casino on the Summerland way, turn into Mcdonalds bridge road (bus stop, signs) and travel for around 10 minutes, through the township of Dyraaba (hall and a few houses), around 2 minutes past the township turn right into Bolan Road. Travel for around 5 minutes until you come to the site (Pine Tree plantation, state forest)
